Michael A. Starvaggi is an attorney admitted to practice in the State of New York and in the Southern and Western Federal Districts of New York.
Mr. Starvaggi has twenty-five years of experience in labor law, business and commercial law, and estates. His business law practice includes business entity formation and governing agreements; buy/sell agreements; employment contracts; business purchases and sales; intellectual property; corporate policy development and partner disputes. The labor law area of his practice includes Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) litigation; Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) claims; Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) litigation; wrongful termination matters; employment separation agreements; discrimination claims (defense and prosecution) and representation of public sector employees, including collective bargaining, mediation and arbitration.
Mr. Starvaggi’s professional career has been highlighted by transactional work at large and small New York City based firms, including Thacher Proffitt & Wood. He has also worked as the Legal Editor of some of the nation’s leading finance law treatises.
Michael graduated with Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa honors Fordham University, and holds his Juris Doctor degree from Fordham Law School. He lives in Rockland County with the loves of his life – his wife and two daughters.
